Well,..that was an interesting/exciting night.
From what I "heard",..I wish that I could have been present for this amazing 5 cent silvers and nickels auction..
Anyone here make that auction and any other feedback about it now that's it's over..?

It looks like they took down all the sale prices, I took a quick look last night and was hoping to take a better look today to see what I missed out on. Oh well.
If I read it correctly, I think the 1921 MS 66 5 cent went for $31k. Quite a few unsold lots (high start price), many lots went for 50% estimate, some were significantly above estimate, the 1948 5 cent was well over $1k, a nice coin.
I think a good number of the early specimen coins sold, but not the 1908 SP60-cleand, it was part of a larger lot for what looked like a reasonable price. I thought that would have gone for sure.
Wish I had saved some of allowance for a few of the lots, avoided watching to keep away from any silly decisions. Chased a few too many MS Large and 1920's small cents this month

if the 1921 went for only 31,000.00 shows how sad the current markets are, or wrong auction house.

I must confess I don't know all the major auction houses that deal with coins... Nor am I a player at this level... but I had no idea about this auction or that a '21 was even being offered...
Just my opinion.. but I can't say this reflects on the market ... as much as it may reflect on the auction house.

..but then I look at the 1875LD 5 cents at 64 which surpassed $51,000.00 ....(hammer in)
..and the 1884 at 63 which surpassed $18,000.00..(hammer in) so maybe everything balanced out last night.. .. ..a lot of the tough vickies graded at 63 and 64 all went well past their grade estimates in my view...and well past their own cataloge estimates...
Maybe the US dollar helped the heavy US collectors big time.. ..and the CDN collectors had to dig a lot deeper...

I could have very well misread, only looked at the site briefly, then all the values were gone in the morning.

The site was not live..and only had a starting bid...and was then closed down before the actual auction..
It would have been grand "if" it had been live for the non-attenders like myself....
The room must have been rocking and rolling on some of those great ones.
....actually...all of them were great ones..
I personally don't think that this quantity and quality will ever come up again in my lifetime..

That would make a lot of sense, I looked on the site just after the auction would have likely ended and it showed a lot prices, some of which were a lot lower than I would have thought, 1 lot had 4 x $100 (incl 2x1954) 3 x $20, some silver dollars, other silver coins and misc items, price would have been around FV after tax & tip.
Surprising only a live auction, would have been a great one to see.
