New series, gold plated 2 oz silver coin with wooden case.
The theme of this series is "celebrate historic proof dollar design".
Mintage is 2200 Price is 189.95
First coin is Voyageur, double dated 1935-2015, with King George V effigy.
This series looks good to me.

What the email didn't mention is the size of the coin, so it could be either a 50mm coin (like $200for$200) or a 54mm coin (like the regular proof 2oz coin) or a piedfort, or something new.
The wooden case looks similar to the one used in the Master Club Canada Goose coin, except it is stained with more reddish colour.

It says a start of a new series, there must be 50 or so more voyageur dollars to come, one can deduce there are 2000 pp master club members

This series looks good to me. This is what I expected from the Mint do do.... @Shopaholic: so does the mail describes other coins? and how many coins? Additional important catch: the mintage for usual RCM 2oz coins were 6.000 , so we might assume, that it will be only 2200 boxes, and 6K total coins. If there will be 6K mintage - the coins will drop in the value.

Quote: It says clearly an exclusive mc offering of 2000 mintage If this is the case, the popular one will be the first. The reason - all the set is very costly. Die hard NCLT collectors will get it, but the price will not leave the room for speculation (more correct word for "flipping"). Together with this - without the first, there is no set, so this one will be grabbed quickly, and will be "tester" for checking the market for demand.

The email didn't mention the other coins. BTW my rep told me the coin won't be a piedfort. I am already picturing the 1967 SD on a 50mm coin...

The nice thing, that the coin is not awailable for simple MC (i do not see it), and might be will not available from the dealers. This could be nice reward for loyal customers Canadian coins collectors.

Though I am not certain, I think it will be available to all MC, just some of us have more advanced notice.Nevermind what I said, the coin is up on the Mint's website for all MC members. The so-called Advance Notice is only a few hours advanced.

Quote: A FIRST! SELECTIVE 99.99% GOLD PLATING ON BOTH THE OBVERSE AND REVERSE! The canoe, travellers, island, and pines are plated in 99.99% pure gold, and the King's crown and mantle are also plated in 99.99% pure gold. I took this from closed topic, and I assume it taken from the Mint description. Do not be fooled (I see on other site people want to order due to gold plating on the both sides) - the key word in the Mint statement is " selective", cause even the Nickel sub coins has gold plating on the reverse and obverse. When I doing the login with my Silver MC account, I do not see this subscription.

The RCM site says 90% of the mintage of 2200 is reserved for mc members so it could be kind of cool but it's still not the so called exclusive coin for certain mc levels.

When I doing the login with my Silver MC account, I do not see this subscription. I'm MC Gold and it is NOT there for me either. Nothing from my rep either. My biggest concern is that it seems to be an open ended series. I prefer to know what I'm signing up for rather than diving into an endless series.

I think, the people who can view it, can see the box, and the amount of the slots. The series has to be nice, but also pricey. One of my concerns - since the serious amount involved here, I have to be picky, and I for example do not really like the idea to have duplication: 2010 Voyageur Silver Dollar, and also not really like the design of 1937 SD...

I see it on my MC .There is only the box that the single coin comes in . I do not see a box for the whole series. Does it come in a subscription ?I do not see anything about a subscription.
