I didn't get a chance to introduce myself yesterday, but wanted to today. I am new to coin collecting/hunting. I have been doing it for about a week or 2 now.. Starting today I am searching 2 boxes a day. I have been finding anywhere from 25-40 wheats in my boxes as well as some very old Canadian pennies dating to the 20's with King George V and VI.. I am guessing since I am finding so many per box someone dumped an inheritance in the bank without knowing what they were "OOPS!" I even got lucky enough to find 6 mint 1953D wheat pennies, 3 where in one box themselves. I am hoping to find some really nice stuff in these boxes of pennies and eventually move up to the silver.. Thank you for having me as a member!! I am excited to get going and hope to find the answers I need in the forums..
Lol, yup I'm an addict. My bank knows it too. They are always curious on what I found and upped their penny stock for me to get the 2 boxes a day and when I'm ready for silver all I need to do is say the word.. thank you all for the welcome!
I live in a small town and they don't mind. I know all the ladies at the bank personally and they offered to up the amount of pennies I get due to my going through them daily. I even go through the drive through to drop the ones I looked through already. lol.. They know what I am doing and always ask if I found something good..
unless you are meaning to mix up the pennies? So I don't get the same ones I've already looked through.. I haven't seen a sign of that yet because I am still getting a lot of wheats per box.
