If not, any idea why? I just purchased this nice PF66 W CAMEO Franklin, and someone pointed out the weakish bell lines. I agree they are weak, and not sure if they would qualify as FBL. Aren't proofs supposed to have great lines? If not, any idea why? Thanks. Ed

Possibly a later hub state? They are suppose to have full bell lines. I guess it is a later hub state. Kind of like how some proof ike peg legs are created from a worn hub.

Ed your photos look better than the sellers . still the bell lines look a little weak , nothing to loose sleep over.
it really is a nice proof .

I think these may just be weak enough not to qualify.

Like FSB, FBL on a proof? I don't think I've ever seen them called out since they should be a given.

Thanks. Sorry for any confusion. It's my coin, and my pics. I know proofs don't get FBL designations by TPGs, but I just assumed that because it's a proof, it would have strong Bell Lines. The photos aren't the best, and I could probably do better if needed. IMO, the lower two lines are full, but the upper three definitely aren't. I like the explanation of a "later hub state." I like the coin, and really like the holder with the "W" designation.

It is possible to get Franklin proofs without FBL.
It is also possible to get business strikes with FBL.

Google images 'full bell lines' for pictures.
