Greetings,

Ever since I can remember one of my favourite coins is the 1949 Canada dollar. I've noticed lately a few very high grade examples for sale in ICCS MS-67. I know it is one of the least rare Silver Dollars in the series in high grade, however, I love the coin and want to own a high grade survivor. I would like to ask everyone's opinion here as to what a ICCS MS-67 1949 Dollar is worth. Thank you for any assistance you may be able to provide.

I have been tracking graded ebay auction Canadian 1949 Silver Dollars for the last six months. I have not seen an MS67 go in that time frame. There were two MS66. One went for $162, the other $115, both including shipping.

The last PCGS MS-67 sold at Heritage auctions was back in 2001, for US$80...

But there are 70 of them graded MS-67 in the PCGS Population Report, but only two at a lofty MS-68.

Thanks for the replies and info...wow $120 in tonight's auction seems so cheap, even if there are quite a few graded in MS-66...the 2001 Heritage auction also seemed like an inexpensive buy...if anyone spots a recent sale price of an ICCS MS-67 I would appreciate if you keep me in mind. Thanks again.

In searching through Heritage archives I found over a dozen 1949 MS 67
sales in the last few years. From 2010-2014 (11 PCGS & 2 ICCS).Selling
from $415 - $705. Have some patience. You will find your coin. Good luck.

Hi Everest,

Thank you very much for checking on these prices, this is a helpful reference. There is a beautifully toned ICCS MS-67 on ebay currently but the price seems quite a bit higher than market value (approx $2199 USD). I will continue the search for the right coin at current market value. Thanks again.
