I'm not sure I don't have any other 82 proof coins to compare to but this looks pretty thick to me. Opinions please

I feel this one might be a doubled die. The date was the clincher for me. It might be minor though. Some better images of the motto-LIBERTY showing 3-4 devices per image might be more helpful. When you have just two devices (or less) it is hard to compare sizes when looking at hub doubling. I would get these and send them to John Wexler to see if he has seen that die before and see what he says. Keep us posted.

Will Do and to be honest I was at a pawn shop and looking through there sets and he had 2 1982 proof sets and this one look doubled at a quick glance it was noticably thicker than the other set. Thats why I went ahead and bout it to bring it home and find out. I will keep you posted because I can't find any listings for a 1982 proof DDO.

If you need help editing your images send them to me. They should be in the 1000 width range. (that allows me to edit them) Send them to my email address and I can return them that way. The light should be diffused a bit more. (that will remove glare and reduce relection.

With the light source a bit darker, it will make the fields look a bit more natural.

I was looking for images on ebay and spotted an interesting proof coin:
Thick-Doubling?
No sure it is a doubled die or not. The devices seem real thick on one coin and thin on the other. (most of the 1982-S cents I've seen look like the example on the left)
