For those in the greater Ottawa valley area, Sean always puts on an excellent open house at his coin shop in Almonte, and usually displays something very cool... This year, his display will show the #1 PCGS nickel dollar collection, which is, in fact, my collection... I will also be there, I am never one to say no to free coffee and cake!! http://alliancecoinblog.com/2015/11...-open-house/"Discovery follows discovery, each both raising and answering questions, each ending a long search, and each providing the new instruments for a new search." -- J. I finally got around to downloading my camera from the event. Sean did a great job of showcasing my nickel dollar registry set. Sean Isaacs by the display The collection description A nice touch, Sean lined the bottom of the display with random (low-grade) nickel dollars Sean put a nice touch on the "special pieces", note the beautiful wooden stand for the 1982 Coinage Constitution dollar

Kudos to both you and the dealer! A truly great set that deserves this kind of attention and promotion, it 's good for the hobby.

Thanks for posting the cool pics! Although I live much too far away to have attended, I wish it were not so.

The point is not about the collection, Sean Isaacs is one of my favourite dealers, and he also is a numismatist, not just a coin dealer. I don't know any other dealers who would do this to promote the hobby.
Sean also had a very cool, Indonesian collection assembled for the event as well, with a very cool 1943 steel US cent overstrike on a Indonesian coin.

Very cool set, wish I was closer and could see it in hand. A nice way to showcase some Intersting collections, it is impressive that he does that, as I am assuming it eats up some retail space. Though I would probably come into the shop to see it.
