For the Non-Canadians, there is a notable difference in the 2002 issue. It is dual-dated, (1952-2002) to celebrate the golden anniversary of Her ascension to the throne. There are two varieties: Copper-plated steel, with a "P" MM, and the "No MM", which is zinc, plated with copper. The difference is easily found with a magnet! I discovered this accidently, while going thru a new batch, (thanks to Daggit). There were five cents without a date!. Later, after having a nice dinner, and a couple hours sleep, I investigated in the 2005 catalogue. ( Thanks to Daggit, again). Clear as day! All spelled out, as to the what, why, and of course, Who. The first discovery made, tho, was when I accidently passed a magnet over a roll of BU 2007 rolls. One jumped up and hung! Canada is full of surprises! Dick

P, no-P, RCM logo mintmark, magnetic, non-magnetic, crowned effigy, uncrowned effigy. Yep, there's quite a few different varieties to be found in Canadian coins in the last few years!

Cool that you're finding so much of this in SoCal! I actually started the first time I saw a nickel without a date, until I found it on the obverse

KurtS, yes, and I found that there are two issues that the date is on tha "other side". The '92, 2002, and I think there is yet another (cent) with dual dates. Found another '65, another V.3 The reason that I am finding so many Canadian cents in So.-Ca., is due to the generosity of Daggit. She sent me 26 rolls of "bank stock", and I sent her the same . It fulfills a common need, and we don't have to travel thousdands of kilometers to realize what the other "guy' is using. She also sent me the 2005 catalogue, which is a God-send! I have the CDROM 2008 version, but it is a bit hard for me to get it to move about in the different areas, that I want to see, without a lot of 'fiddling"! The "book, Paper, that is, is so much more managable! Dick
