Hi,

I have just started attempting to clean some coins and here are a few initial efforts.

My first question is regarding the three coins in the first two photos. I have gotten off most of the compacted dirt and am left with what I think are desirable patinas. At least I like the two green ones. Do you think I should stop here? The darker one is grainy but the other two are smooth. Not perfectly intact but not too bad (for me anyway). The legend on the top left coin is hard to read because of the thickness of the patina. What are your recommendations for these three coins? Or are they in bad shape and I don't realize it?

The last two photos are of coins that didn't come out as nice. Could some one tell me what is going on with the surfaces and what I could do with them?

Thanks

The first an second coin can use a little more cleaning before you will be able to see the true patina of the coin. The second one not as much as the first. The third looks good.
