That's an incredibly creative photo! It appears as if the nickels are standing upright but you've laid them flat and it's the mirror that's upright I think?

I love it, I think they are standing upright wildflower, that could be why they were all 12 siders.

Dollarman, yes you might be right. One falls, they go like dominos.
Still very intriguing, the sort of art that makes one go hmmm?

Thanks all for your kind comments. They are indeed standing up. That is why they are 12 sided. Easier to stand and place in a pattern. I call this the $0.75 shot. They are just placed on my counter top in direct sunlight and shot from across the room with a camera mounted with a 300mm lens and a low flash to fill in some shadows. No mirrors involved

I bet you could have no problem selling this kind of creative coin art to numismatists in poster form. I know I would love a couple creative numismatic themed posters to hang up!

I love it! Now I want to try something like this, except that I only have 1 dodecagonal nickel that I got in circulation, a 1957 I think. That's a very well set up and creative shot. I like how the steel 1945 contrasts in color with the rest.

Big depth of field, and despite that, all in focus.

I totally agree. Creative prints of this sort that celebrate Cdn coinage, in my opinion are far more appealing to compliment and promote the hobby than endless NCLT redos which typically just get locked and hidden away in a box somewhere. Timnic, you obviously have great talent, I think you might be on to something.
