Don't know the weight as it's for sale.

Thinking about buying, maybe.

Looks ok to me. Maybe one of the Miller 33's? I would need better pics to narrow the attribution.

1787 Draped Bust Left, obverse *AUCTORI:* / *CONNEC:*, reverse *INDE:* / *ETLIB:

Miller obverse 33(.7?) (heavy : lower than the I in AUCTORI, C in CONNEC almost touching bust) - cinquefoils (Jarvis group 3)

Miller reverse R.? but looks like the final : is almost touching the B in LIB, branch arm splits D/E in INDE, merged exergue line?

Weight on these if it's a Jarvis group 3 are highly variable, average 8.75g, statute weight was originally 9.4g. They tried to save as much copper as possible without it being readily noticeable.

Conjectures based off the pictures, but altogether it appears to be a 1787 Miller 33.7-r2

Grade approximately F15 from pictures, might get a VF20.

Agree genuine. Miller 33 for sure. Reverse is a little dark (pic).
Nice problem free coin it appears.
I'm at VF20. Possibly 25.

Any ideas on value please?

What sort of amount should I pay for it?

Thanks

These are notoriously difficult to value, especially without a precise attribution.

I would say value anywhere from $300 to $350 on average for a random 33. If it's a 33.7-r2 it's a Rarity 1 coin (very common) so no premium there. The coin appears to have slightly funky rims, perhaps dented.

An XF40 recently sold for $650 @ HA.
