Does this look like a real error to anyone...

A bidding war is going on by two people but that doesn't mean it's real...

I've seen stranger things called mint errors. My first question is always, "if that happened at the mint, how did it get out of the mint?"
Is that one of the fringe benefits of working in our mints?

I have lots of problems with this so called error, especially the reverse, at least the seller has a warning

The seller starts off by saying..'MINT ERROR ? OR MAN MADE'..lol.. gee I'll pick man made.
And people bid anyways.

Hmmmmm, seems "man made" to me; but what do I know? The reverse is a real problem for me. I surely would not be bidding anyway.

Here's two whacks with a household hammer weighing about 2 pounds, imagine what a sledge hammer or small press can do.

This is a beautiful example of the extremely rare 'placed on another coin and hit with a hammer' error.

Well I'm glad it was removed as the winner would eventually have been disappointed with their purchase. Thank you everyone for confirming that it was a hammer job.
