Once-wealthy Tampa coin dealer sentenced for fraud
http://www.tbo.com/news/politics/on...ud-20151204/

Quote:
TAMPA — Mark Yaffe is a great guy, 21 witnesses said in federal court Friday.

Yaffe, a once-wealthy gold coin dealer, raised money for autistic children and assisted living homes. He mentored homeless teenagers, even taking them into his home for months so they could get on their feet and apply themselves in school with newfound diligence.

But good deeds only go so far when you plead guilty to defrauding a bank of more than $3 million.

A well known coins and bullion dealer goes down.

Mark Yaffe also owned ICG for quite sometime after purchasing it through his company NGE National Gold Exchange, he sold it in the past 5 years I believe to the current owners.

Hope they snagged his passport and they keep an eye on him until he reports to prison.

Criminals like this have a knack for conveniently disappearing. Especially since he has paid back only 10% of what he stole.
