I know nothing at all about Morgans and I didn't even own one until today (it came mixed in a lot with some other stuff). I know this year isn't worth much of anything in any grade, but I'm curious as to how it would grade.

Based on a picture of only one side, it looks XF-45 (with AU details) due to the heavy bag marks. Definitely been cleaned, maybe even polished.

Depending on the obverse, I think this coin will grade in the AU55 range. It has full feather definition and shows just a little bit of wear. Actually, the feather definition is probably close to MS grade but there are several things going on in the fields that would take away from the grade...I am most interested in the field right above the arrowheads...There are some peculiar markes that almost look like a die clash of some sort but I believe they are just marks or hits or something other.

If you would post a pic of the front, you can get a better opinion on the grade, but as for now, I will go with AU-50.

Oops! I didn't realize that I linked to the same photo twice! The first one was supposed to be the obverse. I fixed it.

Light wear, scratches in critical areas on both sides. Also looks polished.
AU50 details, net graded EF40 .

Yea, after seeing the obverse, I am going to have to go inside the AU barrier to XF-45. The reverse definition is very nice but there are many things going on that detract from the overall.
