darn... I was closing in on the 1000 mark for 50c pieces; would have hit it this coming week. 1:4000 (rounding up here of course) on the other hand, will take a bit longer.... :(

Nanyc, have you kept any figures for just the millenium 50 cents checked?
I would say your strike rate would be higher than most, but would be interesting to see. I have checked 189 Millenium 50 cent, with no luck yet .

farnby..No I haven't kept separate stats for the Millenniums checked, I don't see a whole lot of them now, maybe 3 - 5 per week. This time last year it was probably more like 7-10 P/week. They are drying up a bit.

So overall, if we say 5 p/wk for 156 weeks, 468 coins for 6 does appear to be a pretty good strike rate. 1:78, however, until last week, I hadn't found one for well over 12 mths, making the current strike rate using 5 p/wk, less than 1:156.

It must be just about your turn to find one.

Thanks nancyc, you would think from those figures I'm about due. I have just about given up on finding one, so think I will have to bite the bullet and buy one. I know as soon as I do, one will turn up in circ for sure.

So you could say from between the combined totals of our searches, the estimated mintage would be between 120 000 and 150 000 incuse coins minted. Does this sound about right, what do others think, or know?

There's a lot being sold on ebay & without getting stats from everyone who's found them, I think it's pretty difficult to say just how many might have been minted. Some people find them, others find none.

Does anyone know anyone who has purchased from her?

Is she creating these or are they for real?

I have purchased from her, but not incuses. I did notice she sells a lot of incuses. Maybe she searches a heck of a lot of 50¢.

I haven't bought an incuse from her either but I think she could find the numbers if she was searching a lot of coin as well. I have found a few and if I had the time I think it can be done. Sorry to upset those who don't have one but I found another one yesterday!
