Evening,

I'm not used to looking at dimes but this was in my Pocket Change today. And when looking at it - seemed to be off center is this the called Broadstruck MAD error?

Thank you for looking.

Your coin might have slight die misalignment but it is otherwise completely normal. Off-centers and broadstrikes are completely different, they are both collar errors. Off-center errors are struck without the collar in place and are missing part of the design. Broadstrikes are also struck without the collar in place but the entire design is present.

Not broadstruck. You can see the reeding. Looks like a small MAD. Worthless until the devices fall off the rim.

Thanks all, When I first read the reply by Numisma I was happy because I thought my Penny had gone up in value. I am mostly a penny person. Then I realized that this post for a dime that we had.

I was just reading about VLDS on one of the posts here on the forum. I appreciate the info and replies.
