I would say this is a great first buy with no major dings or damage and the price seems fair to me. It looks like a bit of a weak strike on the obverse, especially the U and N in United.

I have a few commems, although they are all modern clad. This is a nice starter & silver to boot!

My Dad won a contest back in the late 40's and the prize was a Booker T., he was so proud of it, he carried it as a pocket piece. Worn to the beat the band, but it is still in my collection.

Congrats on your first classic commemorative purchase. I think the price is OK but these are fairly common so I wouldn't go much higher than that.
