hi, it might take a bit more time for more people to respond. your pictures are a bit small, if you could crop out the background some, and increase the size of the image it would help a lot.

but my gut feeling is, that this is some sort of medallion of some sort (not a coin), but I cannot make out either side very well.

The coat of arms is from the old German kingdom of Wurttemberg. I can't tell the date or denomination from those pictures, but it's probably from the early to mid 1800s.

I own a similar base-silver piece from Wurttemberg, similarly worn, without the hole, which I paid a few dollars for.

No, It's certainly not from the UK or any Commonwealth country. I've never heard of Wurttemberg, but I'll take Sap's word for it.

I think either a 3 or a 6 Kreuzer from Wurttemberg. The date (if it is still there at all) would be below the coat of arms. I'd guess somewhere in the early 1800s, possibly 1806-1816.
