Sounds like the auctions in some of your areas are a lot better than the ones in mine. There are a lot of coin dealers so maybe potential consigners have better options available then sending it to auction where the auctioneer gets a significant cut.

Hey, this could have gone a lot differently if another coin shark was in the room. But on the flip side I almost got it for $600 until some guy jumped in and took it to $800. You just never know with auctions and if you can think fast on your feet it gives you an edge. Oh and I'm an idiot! I didn't count the 65-69 kennedys in my silver count so add 18x 40%ers to my total And I'm not good with IDing them but it looks like I have a few bugs bunny Franklins as well as some FB/FT roosies too so far

Errg... These one sided Whitman folders are getting to me. Gotta get gloves for the good ones and have to pop each out individually then examine it then put it back in. Who came up with these. The Peace dollars have been in so long the reeds are toned black and they're hard as heck to pop out. Almost like they're stuck.

Yeah, it's a shame they're in folders. A friend gave me an incomplete cent folder -- glue marks on all the backs. But still -- you did great. Just think how much that collection meant to someone....at least it is still appreciated. LOVE the banks. I get the itch to collect those but stop myself because I am trying to downsize what I own. But still., they are pretty cool. Enjoy! You have hours of fun ahead of you.

I would guesstimate that the total value (spot plus numismatic premium) should be of the order of $2,000 to $2,500. It could be more, depending on your numismatic luck!

Is that a '20-S walker in nice shape? I'd pay a good amount for that if it's F-VF.

Sel, I haven't done any hard calculations aside from spot silver yet but I guesstimated $1800-2000 so you're estimate seems to jive Cartwheel, nice catch. I have the 20s at vf35. Looks exactly like this one, maybe a hair better 121798549292

That's an awesome score!! You were in the right place at the right time. Looks like the person would have been better off just going to a dealer... The ones I've asked around me I believe pay 10x on the 90% and then 15x on the silver dollars. Are you going to sit on it like an investment and hope for silver to go up or just go for the quick flip profit?
Those piggy banks are pretty sweet. How much coin do they hold? I might need to keep an eye out for those for my kids.

Thanks guys. Still going through it all I think my collecting niche is quickly becoming buying collections. Love the thrill and excitement of the gamble and the score plus the variety. Buying single coins has always been kinda hum-drum for me @Cartwheel, pm me or turn your ablity to receive messages on
