My wife got a 1929-S buffalo today in her grocery store change. We will be shopping there more often  She lovingly turned the nickel over to my collection haha |

Brinks box today yielded some common old Jeffersons, a 1943P, and 8 2009D.

Timmy30, you need to teach your wife to lok in the reg when they are giving the change out......I do ,and if I see old nickels, for instance, I'll hand them a qrt or dollar or something like that and ask for several nickels to try and get the old one or proof, etc.
It works most of the time. Excellent find on the 29-s no matter what the condition

Dry ? I'm looking for a 1938 d for ages ! If you all ready had just save because soon I ll be able to change and won't mind togive some silver in exchange for it or even a buffalo whatever you want just to complet my circulated set lol .remember me !

lol.....no problem. The 38-d made it so it wasn't a complete waste, but I usually do better with my boxes. Hoping for a better box tomorrow.
We can always work out a trade for that 39-D ya found the other day....lol

Today was my first roll hunt in two and one half weeks. I found: *1 War Nickel, a 1945-P. *24 Early Jeffersons, including a 1941-D with full steps and a plain 1955 (The third one I've found in roll searching). *3 Canadians *1 Bermuda five-cent piece. |

today no hole fillers but a box that gave me some nice semi key dates
1938,1939,1940d,1941d,1947s,1948s,1951d,1952d,1952s,1953,1953s,1957x2
at least some good dates for trade and try to fill the few holes left in my album !

Better than average box: it had a 1988s proof and 61 total pre-1960 nickels including 1938, 1938d, 1939 (x6), 1942P War Nickel, and several s mintmarks. I would grade a few of them at least XF including the 1938d. I had my hopes up for a 1950d because it might have been a dumped collection but no luck on that one. |

Blazed through another box and found my first 1943d! It took me 98 War Nickels found roll searching to pull this one so it was tough. The only one left to complete my circulation set now is 1950d. |

In the current economy, you can't beat searching through rolls and boxes of Jeffersons at face value.
