Wow! Four weeks of questions to answer; two (actually three) jobs keep me off of here for weeks at a time.
Going all the way back to the Cincinnati Transit Token questions, I will try to find it. It was in a customer roll if I recall; any counting machine would have rejected it.
I have been selling them mostly to a local collector that wants to save all of the pre-58 nickels he can get. The warnickels I sell to various people when I get enough of them together to make it worth selling.
Jaymon74, if you read this PM me a list of what you need and I will let you know what I have. Don't have a 50d at the moment, but that hopefully will change soon!
Maybe others have had different results, but I notice far fewer silver nickels in Garda rolls than Brinks. I have found it to be this way since I started this over three years ago.
This probably makes a lot of sense, but of the over 100+ Buffaloes I have found, only one was in a customer roll.
My best Buffalo was a 1938d in EF+. Also found a 1913s Type 2 but it was dateless.
TheDanMan: I would LOVE to find a Shield! Also no V's before 1900. I still have many hundreds of rolls to go; I am holding out hope! And XoG, I know the Shields are just small enough to not make it into the machine wrapped rolls. But, I look in every CoinStar that I see!
I would have to look back at my records to figure out exactly when I found my first Liberty, but most of the ones I have come across have come in bunches. Think I had nine in one box once.
angel2004: In 1964 the Philly and Denver mints combined churned out a total of over 2.8 BILLION nickels! The only year since that even came close to that total was 1999, when over 2.2 billion were made. A roll without a 1964 in it is actually an unusual event!
1950d is the scarcest Jefferson, and the toughest to find in circulation. I have looked through 800,000 nickels so far, and have found a grand total of 2!
Kefiroth: a 1942 Proof! SWEET! Silver or C/N? And the 1955 was a nice pull; they are surprisingly difficult to get. Plus, let's see pics of that 1981 MAD! I sold on the Forum a 1982 extreme MAD that sounded very similar to yours.
I was holding on to 2009d 's for awhile, but I let them go; was finding too many of them.
Nickelsearcher, the way that you are going you are going to catch me! I don't have nearly the time that I used to to go through boxes (and I am constantly getting sidetracked with cent boxes)!

Now for a story. Sad (and careless) for me, but a probable windfall for some, at least in my area.
About a month ago, got a little careless in storing some of my stuff. Was in the middle of totally redoing my workspace, and I had been placing some things in places where I normally wasn't. To cut a long story short, in one group of nickel rolls I brought back to the bank, I inadvertently included four rolls of dated
Buffalo nickels! So, if there is anybody on here searching in the Central Kentucky area that has found a bunch of Buffalos, "you're welcome!"
