So after 26 1/2 boxes (1325 rolls) (53,000 nickels) I have 6 holes left to fill. Got some hard ones out of the way but I have some pretty tough ones coming up. Need: 1938 d 1939 d 1942 p silver 1950 d 1953 s 1955 I'm surprised about the 1953 s not being found yet. Where I live I get my fair share of s mint coins. 14 out of my 25 War Nickels are s mint. And I have 3 of the 1944 s War Nickel. I think the next hole I will fill is that 1953 s.

I don't always post when I have a bad box - so don't think this box is average. It was the best I've ever had. 1920-S buffalo (AG-3) 1938 (nice coin!, unsure of grade) 1943-P (silver) 1971-S (proof) 1998-S (proof - same roll as the 1971-S) 37 other pre-1960.

New box: 1936-D Buffalo (first with a clear date in a LONG time) 1939 x 2 1941 x 5 1943-P silver 1946 x 2 1947 1947-D 1948 x 2 1952 1953 x 2 1953-D 1954-D x 3 (one is AU/BU) 1957-D 1958-D 1960 BU (Gold toned, but no steps; probably the jetsam of a collection upgrade) 1963 BU (In the same roll, again probably the same) 1964 AU 2 Canadians: 1989, 1999 That makes for about 0.8 buffalos per box and 0.6 silvers per box. Also, till finds from my work: 2005-P Ocean nickel with probable strike-through error (legend and date are missing from coin) And this baby:

Best box I've had in a while and these are NOT dateless Buffalo nickels! 1923-S Buffalo 1929 Buffalo 1938 1940x2 1940D 1941x2 1941D 1946 1948 1951 1953 1954Dx3 1955D 1956 1956D 1957 1957Dx2 1958Dx4 1959D 2009Dx3 Still no sign of 2009-P and I'm well over 40 boxes searched! Wow!

nice 1923 s!!
And you'll get a 2009 p eventually. I did about 23 boxes and had over 150 2009d and not a single 2009 p. so I bought 2 boxes from the east and I still didn't get one. I kind of gave up and said one will come to me. and then I got one in 3 boxes in a row so I have 3 now.
