What a find !
I would love to see a pic of this coin in collor , I dont see any wear .
The early jeffersons not always have the full details on the steps and the flatened on the hair could be duo the strike and not wear ! If it look as good in collor as it looks in black and white it could be ms-62 or higher because there is no wear on the jacket or aroun the colar duo the amount of mint luster that shows on the pic ...

WOW I have found 26 War Nickels and none of them grade higher than Fine I think. Would love to have that one. I think'll pick up two boxes of nickels today. Hurricane Irene is supposed to hit New Hampshire and I need something to do while the storm goes on outside. |

Box 18Dateless Buffalo 1 from the 30s 8 from the 40s 12 from the 50s Here's the one from the 30s    That makes a total of two 38D and both within a couple weeks or so. Box 19Skunkaroooooooo No Buffalos No Silver Wars No nice dates 10 from the 40s 6 from the 50s 2 Canadian both 1987 No Wars from either box brings me to 24/19

Not from a roll or bag - but yesterday one of my cashiers presented me with what someone had paid her with as a nickel - a five schilling piece from Somalia which I believe is aluminum. Kind of neat - has an elephant on one side and the crest (I guess that is what you would call it) of Somalia on the other.

Ya murrelington I saw your list you posted recently and felt a little bad pulling another out of circulation... I actually did think of your post when I saw it.
I'd gladly have taken a 38S or 39D or of course a 50D all of which I bet Ill be hunting for quite some time. I need to sit down and figure what all I'm missing as I don't use an album and their all just in flips.

You should start an album and try to put together a whole circulation set like a lot of us are doing. Join the club, it's fun. Searching is fun, but I think going for a whole set from circulation is awesome. When I finally finish it, I know it will feel like such a great accomplishment. |

Was going through a box earlier and found a Duracell battery in one of the rolls. You heard that right. It's a DL 2016 type and Brinks has got some explaining to do! Edit: Murrellington "I'm surprised about the 1953 s not being found yet. Where I live I get my fair share of s mint coins. 14 out of my 25 War Nickels are s mint. And I have 3 of the 1944 s War Nickel. I think the next hole I will fill is that 1953 s." I saw this one the previous page and just had to quote it since our luck seems to be opposite. Once, I had 20 of the 1953-Ss in one box, yet never one 44-S, so seeing you state that is amusing  Edited by florida

Box #28 down no silver-  28/26 no buffs no V's no proofs foreign- 1963 belguim franc 1 MAD-better than the small MADs I find sometimes-actually worth posting about 1949-D 1952-S 5 1946 Don't see those two first ones everyday. Plus 12 canadians- a 1968 and a 2011! |
