Trapper,
That 38s is in much better shape than the one I found 2-3 weeks ago. Yours has been out of circulation much of it's life. Great find!

Searched a box today...one silver 1942-P. Also a nice AU50-53 1948 nickel in there. I normally save anything before the sixties and all S-mints.

We did two boxes tonight.
First box: only a 20 pence piece.
Second box: 1944D, 1955p.

murrellington, Don't feel to bad I picked up 12 boxes Thursday. Searched 5 boxes have not found any silver yet, any proofs or good semi keys in fact the other 7 boxes do not look very promising either. Were bound to have these up and down periods. So far this year I have found 117 war nickles Was hoping to find a roll a month.

I have decided to no longer save 1946P, 1954D, 1957D, 1958D and 1959D. I seem to get too many of them. I would rather use that money to try to hunt for half dollars.

JonNickelCollector, Yes 117, in Jan @ Feb I was finding 1 to 2 a box my best was 4 in 1 box I go through about 2 boxes a night. But it seems to be slowing down now. I know I'm not getting my dumps back because I mark all the 1939, 1940 & 1941's I find and I have not gotten a single one back yet. I have meet other roll searchers at the bank so I know other people in my area are searching nickles

did $100 in CWR to my surprise I found A LOT of UNC 83-d, 84-d, 85-d, 86-d, 82-d, I kept some RedBook said MS63 is at least $1 and these all had full steps! also scored my first ever 1950-d! it looks fantastic! I would say AU/MS.. full steps.. but it has a gold hue to it that takes away the luster. but details are awesome! your thoughts?
