thanks for sharing BabyJayhawk. looks like you're on par with everyone else. And I think I'm at 71 boxes myself by the way.

Nice finds BabyJayhawk! I'm curious about that "2 headed nickel". Is that an error of some kind?
Here is my box for today and it was a good one. There were 49 pre-1960 nickels including:
dateless buffalo (1913d type 1) 1935 buffalo 1942d 1942P 1943P 1945S 1955 1987S proof

I'm guessing it's a Magicians coin of some sort. Though it's done pretty good, the 1974 is hollowed out and the other placed inside. You can see a double rim from about 11:00 - 4:00 approximately on the 1983-P side of the coin. In hand the coin looks and feels authentic, but under magnification the way it was constructed became evident. Still a pretty cool find, I was a little confused when I flipped Jefferson over to see Jefferson.

Those are some pretty good boxes! 3 wars apiece and 49 pre-60's is amazing!

Quote: I was a little confused when I flipped Jefferson over to see Jefferson Oh yeah, I should have thought of it being a Magicians coin. I remember being confused when I found a double tails Memorial cent. Thanks for the pictures!

The last box I searched was one of my best! It yielded two War Nickels and a total of 30 nickels that were pre-1960, and also a Canadian 1998 5 cent coin. The weird thing is, the two boxes before that were my worst ever. Between the two I only got 17 pre-1960 nickels total! When returning a box to the bank yesterday, the teller was asking me why I had so many nickels. She asked me, "Where did you get them?" "A different bank," I said. "What did you get them for?" "...A hundred dollars." Duh, I thought. But then I realized she was asking me WHY I got them, not HOW MUCH I got them for. Heh.

Alright, my latest 60 rolls are in the books, they weren't spectacular, but fun nonetheless. Pre 60's: (31) 1939 1940 (3) 1941 1943-P 1946 (3) 1946-D 1946-S 1947 1947-S 1948-D 1949 1952 1952-D 1952-S 1953 (2) 1954-D (3) 1954-S 1955-D 1956 1956-D 1957-D 1958-D (2) 1959-D In total 31 finds in 60 rolls, which is approximately my average through 72 boxes. Canadian: (11) 1975 1984 (3) 1993 1994 1996 1998 (2) 1999 (2) Oddballs: (1) 1964 US Cent from a machine wrapped roll, so you can imagine the deformation it took to get in there!
