5 War Nickels! Nice find! Usually I find 1 or none in a $100 worth!

My average is exactly 1 War Nickel for every 59.85915492957746 rolls. Lol. So I have a better average than you robbudo! Hehe.

These are VERY preliminary results (and do not include everyone's data yet). Here is one thing I've found. Interestingly, everything below the main trend line are the silver War Nickels. Statistically, they would pop up more frequently if they were not being hoarded.

Haha, I know it wasn't exact, I was just teasing.

And that chart is very interesting! Especially all the silver ones and the hoarding.

I finally found a 1950P. Guess I just needed to complain about my bad luck with this coin. Now if I can find one of his more popular friends (1950D), I'll have completed my search for every nickel from 1938 through 1959. I've also been finding a lot of AU 1940's coins the last couple boxes. Has anyone else noticed that boxes, back-to-back, from the same bank, seem to share characteristics? For instance, I've been finding these AU in back-to-back boxes. I found all my v-nickels in 3 or 4 boxes back-to-back a few months ago.

I got another $50 from the bank on lunch and the FIRST coin I pull out of the FIRST roll was a 43P!

robbudo,

I tried to send you e-mail, but the board says I am not "eligible". How can I send you an Excel spreadsheet with my search results?

Thanks.

I was brought back to reality, as I picked up a box this morning and found no silver or anything really worth keeping.
