Did another $30 to complete a grand total of $600 in nickels searched. Today's finds were great!

What does everyone do with the early Jefferson's? Like the early 40's" I know to keep the 38's, 39's, and any 1950-D's.
I am saving all the quality 1955 and 1957. My Girlfriend has a 57 Chevy and her Dad has a 1955 T-Bird. We put the change in the ashtray or glove box. Other than that, unless the coin is needed to fill or upgrade my Dansco, it goes back in circulation.
Just wondering if I should start saving some of the older ones to collect rolls?

@ shonit123: I think you did really well. Especially with that buffalo and the Victory nickel! I'm still waiting on another buffalo. I've done $600 and have only found one. @Murphy: Personally I keep any from the 40's that have a mintage of under 50 million, with the exception of the War Nickels, which I always keep. For the 50's anything under 20 million is a keeper. Also, do you keep War Nickels Murphy? Cause that's silver, and it's worth quite a bit as far as Jefferson nickels are concerned.

CrazyCat, yes I do keep the War Nickels. The War Nickels were the main reason I started searching nickels. Then I started to fill an album. Thanks for the info. I'll start saving the better quality ones with low mintage numbers.

Had the day and night free so picked up a box of quarters, plus $100 loose rolls and $40 in nickels. No silver or proofs but a couple hole fillers.
I'm a half dollar man, but when I can't get them. I go to quarters (easy to read), then nickels (need magnifying glass).
