CopperNickelDaddy - Thanks for your feedback. I agree with you, at certain times, I am definitely tired of seeing nickels! But the thrill of the hunt keeps me going, especially when I get a dry run with halves. I know nickels will almost always have something interesting in every box. At one point I had 32 boxes to go through - that was a big task for one week. They are so easy to get and I can never turn a box down. That's awesome on the 10 Liberties in one box! I ad a box with 11 Buffaloes and a Liberty with three wars too - one of my best boxes. Happy hunting and I'll update soon with my figures

Box #4 -

Pretty lame box today. No silver. No hole fillers. One really rough no date Buffalo. Nothing weird - no Canadian or anything else. Anyway got the following:

1940 x2
1941 x3
1946 x6
1947 x2
1948
1949 (nicer quality that I used to upgrade the one I had in my Dansco)
1952-s
1955-d
1956-d
1957 x2
1957-d
1958 x2

One no date buffalo is really rough shape.

2 questions.
what dates are worth holding onto, besides the obvious. I mean nickels in the 60's or not. I saw someone post a '64.
where do you turn all the boxes of coins into? banks or coinstars?

I finally found time to do a box.

I think this is Box 5:

2-1939
1-1940
1-1941
1-1946-S (hole filler)
A few other pre-1960
1-1960 (upgrade)
1-1974 (upgrade)
1-2009-D

Can't wait to get another box!

crazyforATB, I save any pre-1960 Nickel and all 2009's. There are also some coins with doubling and RPM that I keep.
1962-D ( DDR)
1964-D ( DDR and RPM)
1981-D ( DDR)
2004-P ( DDO)
2005-P (Speared Buffalo)

A great source of information is "Strike it Rich with Pocket Change". I's a good book to have around. I have the 3rd Edition and I'm looking to buy the first two Editions also. I get some of my information from Coneca website.

As for returning the boxes, I take them to my Credit Union. They have a coin machine. It takes everything except Ikes.

Good luck.
