Greetings all,

I've sort of taken time of from roll hunting this summer but the bug hit me yesterday and I snagged myself a bag of nickels from my usual pickup bank. As I loaded it into the trunk I was visually inspecting it and quickly found three pre-55 nickels. Cool. I average somewhere between 25 and 40 pre-55 per bag. The first bucket I pulled out (bucket holds around $18) contained TWENTY. Grand total was 181 pre 55 non silver nickels! I'd like to say lots of quality, but more or less just quantity. I did pull a 38P and two 50P, which was unusual. I also got one 09D, two War Nickels, four non Canadian foreign coins (Aruba, Cayman Islands, Great Britain, Mexico) and eleven Canadian nickel nickels. This was by far the most pre-55s I have ever found - previous best was I believe 60! Happy hunting!

@BernieZ
Actually its funny that you say that.... I have been getting payed in Morgans and Peace dollars all in XF condition or better in fact I told him I don't want cash at all only coin :)))) Also (grrr really need a camera to show this to you guys) Someone came into the store today and sold a 1892CC Morgan in XF condition.... He took 35 dollars for it.... my boss/friend was told me since I was doing such a great job drawing people in through craigslist etc I could buy it from him for 40 dollars.... So I did then checked the price on it and was like Wow!!!!!! I LOVE this job!!!!! To say the least if you guys ever wanna invest please let me know for sure.... My boss/friend is hooked up with the top of the food chain when it comes to precious metals and high value coins.... Seriously his connections are authorized to write tens of millions of dollars on checks... They are some serious players in the metals and private coins market.....

Anyways todays 2 boxes of nickels pulled 3 silvers 2 2009d and about 40 or so 1938-1955 nickels, I have been on a foreign currency drought for several days not even a Canadian.... pulled 3 pre 2000 AU-BU condition nickels and I'll keep posting my daily finds when time permits me.

On A sidenote I have given up the penny searching for a while as suddenly my time has been filled dramatically with the new job but I do plan on picking a box up to do this Sunday along with 4 boxes of Nickels since our shop is closed Sundays.
Happy CRH everyone and keep up the great finds :)

Not bad.

I just went through 1 1/2 boxes of nickels this afternoon and it was the best batch that I can remember in terms of classics.

I found a 1908 V nickel, 1920 and 1925 Buffalos, and a 1955 which is only the third one of those I've come across.

Just started some more nickels - 20 rolls sitting in my backpack. Just got through my second roll and pulled a 1987-S. Here's hoping other goodies lurk in these rolls.

Nice stuff, Jack.

Polished off half a box of nickels I had in my desk yesterday before work.

1 peso, 2 proofs, a dateless Buffalo, and a high grade 1943P that looks to have some sort of diagonal planchet lamination on the obverse.
