CoinCbass,

It has been a long hard journey to get that first 1950d. We were beginning to think it would never happen. We must have done 400 boxes by now.

Jon Nickel - I have been very lucky and have found 4. I actually found 2 in a period of 2 weeks this summer. one at home in NC and one from a box I got on a whim over vacation in PA.

Searched my first nickel box this evening. Found a 1944 P, 2 dateless buffaloes, and a 1935 & 1937 moderately worn buffaloes.

Question for all you nickel hunters -- I keep 1930s, 40s, and 50s nickels. Does anyone keep 1960s also? Especially the 1964? Since they made 3 billion of them is it worth keeping them with the rest of the 60s nickels?

Thanks!

Thanks, Rachums!

CoinCbass,

I can't believe how many 50Ds you have found so easily.

Many people only keep pre-1960. Self included. I actually weed out the 3 or 4 most common of the 50's and toss them back.

Jon nickel - I never said it was easy-ha. Very lucky w 50d. But tons of boxes and bags.

Did a bag. Good batch of pre-60, but more interesting were the 2 War Nickels and 3 Buffalo nickels. 37, 36, and 23.
