Went through a box of nickels before work.

Found a 1929 Buffalo, 2 War Nickels, 1982S proof, and a 1938D. If only it was an S.

Two nights ago, I found a Canadian nickel I didn't know existed. It was a commerative nickel for 1945-2005 celebrating the 60th anniversary of the end of WWII. It had a big V on the back. We had never seen one like that before.

They used to have it on during the war, v for victory. On the original I believe it had morris code around the inside edge.

I could be wrong, I'm just going from memory.

Did a box last night and it was pretty good. I ended up with my first 1942d, which was a hole filler. 10 holes left. Also got a 1945s, and a worn buff that looks like a 1923. So silver, buff, and a hole filler!

I believe the remaining holes at this point are

1938d, s
1939d, s
1950d
1951d
1947d
1944d

and a few others I cant remember right now, silver ones I believe

New personal record today. 6 Buffs in one box. 37D was the nicest. 36 and 26 were readable. rest need to be etched. Also got a 43P silver to boot.

2 more bags yielded 2 War Nickels (inc S mint), ndb, barely readable 1920 buff, and two semi keys on top of slightly above average number of pre-60.

Also an au+\ bu 1946 upgrade for one if the books.

After the last box's two D minted War Nickels, I had another box with hole fillers and firsts!

1x war
1x dated buffalo

1942D hole filler
1967 SMS

and....
1940 S with a nice Cud! I;ve found a few rim Cuds, including a nice one, but this is my first real Cud. Well worn, but old! The reverse is weak struck under the Cud, which was to be expected.

I know, I need pics! haha
