Did a nice box this morning. Kept 1.5+ rolls of pre-60. found 2.5 rolls or so of pre-60 - got rid of damaged, or common ones, or ones that did not grade high enough for me to keep.

Also found 39 D Nickel. - 3rd one from circulation for me. 2nd rarest nickel

92 S Proof, 4 No date buffs, weak 1920 buff and 45 P War Nickel. and thats a regular 1950, not a D, but still under 10 million minted.

That is a cool coincidence because I picked up ten rolls of nickels and in one roll found a 39d, in vf-ef condition and a dated 1929 buffalo. Somebody is releasing good stuff again. In the las couple of weeks I found a 38s, a43p, then today the 39d and 29 buffaio.

Good luck continued today. Last week's record setting 6 Buffs in a box has been joined by a record setting 4 War Nickels in one. 42s, 44p, 45 p and 45d. Add a 48s hole filler and a good looking 50p and this one ranks pretty close to the 6 Buffs and one silver.

Started my first box in a while, opened the first roll and the SIXTH coin was a 1990-S proof!

I'll post pics when I finish the box - hopefully this one will have some company.

Had my third great box in a row!

1900 V nickel

Last 3 boxes:
4 Silvers (including 2 D mints, hole filler)
2 Buffalo (1935 and 1936 dated Buffs)
1900 V nickel (my second V)
1940S Cud (first nice Cud)
1942D hole filler
1967 Special Mint Set

I forgot to include the Cud as it was already in a 2x2.

My son and I did a box of nickels today, our first of the year.

My son found an undated buffalo. I found an interesting coin. It is a 1943 silver coin, very obviously silver, but with no mint mark above the Monticello. It has not been rubbed off on purpose. It does not look like it ever had one at all. Has anyone ever seen one of these before?

Jon Nickel collector - please post a picture. theres a chance it could have been Struck Through Grease and that is why the mint mark doesn't show up.
