Was bored today at the house and decided to go through my almost full mason jar of nickels to make I didn't miss any older nickels. Glad I did because I found a 1940, 41, 42, 2x 46, 2x 53 and 2x 56.

I posted its own thread (figured it was worthy) but here are my last 2 boxes: 4 V nickels1 Buffalo 4 Silver Nickels 1960 Bar nickel (multiple die chips) Medium lamination error New foreign Pretty happy! I like errors the most and not much from the second box-- but the multiple V's made up for it! Puts me at 6 V's in somewhere around 30 boxes

New to the forum. Have been searching a box a week for the last few months. This last one is the first that I have recorded.
39(2),59D,46(2,upgrade),56d(4),57d,54s,48,54d(2),41,47(upgrade)58d, 40EF(upgrade),54,52,42(not silver),53d,57. 3 upgrades of later dates
Still need 44s, 50d,58, and both 2009

Justin,
Six V's in 30 boxes! We've only found 4 in around 400 boxes!

Thanks for the feedback guys. Just wishful thinking on the 3 legs I guess. I'm still pretty satisfied with my first 50D.

1 box yielded 42 War Nickel, and only 11 pre-60, of which I only kept 9 due to wear and scratches. way below average. terrible box. pr-60 nickels are slowly getting harder to find - still plenty common as I find dozens and dozens of rolls of them/year. but this was an abnormality as opposed to the general trend over the years

Halfway through another box I got a week after my 4 V box and I found another! Now up to 7 V nickels in 30-31 approx boxes. :) :) :)

4 boxes of nickels: 1 Buff(37d), 1 War(44p), 3-09p, 11 pre-60 keepers, 3 canadian 5c, 1 bahamas 5c, 1 UK 5p. Overall, not great results for me. I average 1 war per box.

furryfrog, Are these your first 2009 nickels? If not, how many have you found? What state do you live in? I am in Colorado and have yet to find a 2009 nickel and only 1 2209D dime.

yooper, They are not my first 09's. I have searched $12,500 worth of nickels and have found 28 P's and 34 D's. I live in Maryland. I had a roll filled with 09 P&D dimes as well before I decided to cash them in. Not nearly as scarce as the nickels IMO.

Thanks :) Just out of curiousity, What are your guys' stats like? I have searched $9,840($12,500 if you count solid date boxes) and found: 76 Wars - 1 per $129 37 Buffs - 1 per $265 62 09 P&D - 1 per $158 5 Proofs - 1 per $1968 1 "V" - 1 per $9,840...:)
I'm just wondering if I am below/at/above average with other searchers.
