Finding Proofs where they shouldn't be is always fun for me. I have a 1975 S from circulation, but it looks pretty much like a circulated nickel from that period. Your 1980 S still has some of the luster and frost. Pretty cool find!

I was complaining about not finding a single War Nickel in the 4,000 nickels I went through last week . I picked up 4,000 more at the bank yesterday, and last night I found 2 War Nickels within the first 200 nickels I searched...Remarkable

I was getting skunked on silver since returning to CRHing, but in the last couple of weeks, two War Nickels. If all we had to do was admit that here, we might have admitted that we hadn't found a 3 legged Buffalo yet! Glad you got the skunk off! Happy hunting!!

Last night I went through about 10 more MWR of nickels from the bag that has already produced 2 War Nickels, and was shocked to find another War Nickel. Thanks to this "3-nickel" bag my average is now 1 War Nickel per bag searched There are about 25 rolls left in the bag, so who knows what I may find in them Oh, and a couple of my kids joined in on the "hunt", but after a couple rolls each I had to force them to stop because it was their bedtime. Them showing interest was a good sign...Or was it?

I made it through the last 25 or so rolls in the $100 bag and found 1 more War Nickel. I found a total of 4 War Nickels in the bag, which is by far the most War Nickels I've found in $100 worth of nickels Unfortunately, my kids were too busy with homework to look through any rolls last night. They are very good kids, and I am blessed to have them.
