I haven't done a box of nickels in a long time. After reading this topic for the last week I went and got me one.

I scored a 1937 buffalo and a few 1940's!! Not bad

Did 2 boxes of nickels earlier in the week.

The first box had a dateless Buffalo, a crusty Buffalo, a 1945S, and a few foreign coins.

Box 2 had a pair of 1938 and a pair of 1939 P's.

1926 buff with close to full horn, but alas it is brown.

nice job baseballfan. Welcome, and nice hunting!

Always nice to see the updates cbass.

I did a box today, no wars or buffs, but I did get 2 proofs. An old one and a new one. the 2010 has some frosty look and has roller damage, and the 1975 looks pretty nice for its age. pics arent great, but here they are.

babeballfan! Have to enjoy finding pieces of silver during a hunt! Don't forget to post pics for some of the finer/fun nickels you find.

Cbass - post pics of your 38!! Nice find!!

Skibs - I landed two proofs last weekend making it 4 for the year. Fun finds for sure!

and today, my first 30s mint mark Jeffereson, a 1939 D!!!

That was nice, and a reminder that the all holes in the book can be filled from the hunt :-)

I am envious of your kroner, I want a holed coin... I mean one that was minted that way not like the halves that are PMD.

skibs - nice going on the 1939D!! I'm still missing that one, but I did find my 1939S last night (down to 7 holes to fill). Also found a 1911 V nickel in VG almost F shape. About 60% through the box, so hoping a few more nice items are to be discovered.

Frodo - your checker may be a Pound (British). Have a second look when you get the chance. And you may want to pickle that nickel (Buffalo). On the dateless items I find, I pickle to see what it would have been had there been a date on it.

Pulled this pair of Double D's from a box today.

I found the 1938D before work and finished the box off after work and in the second from last roll was the 1939D

Now if only it was a 1938S I'd be done by now
