1 box yielded 2 wars, 1936 buffalo (VG or better), an ndb buff and lower than average number of pre-60

Furry - do you check for variety/error nickels? (especially post 1959)

Tonight's box yielded a 1937p buffalo, 1945P, and a 1945D.

@Rackster - I check for errors and some varieties. Not too interested in most of the RPM's but I search for a few along with some of the doubled dies.

@CoinCBass - I wish I could say it was just a bad bag... :) I've searched $7,056 this year and have only pulled 28 Buffs, 29 Wars, and 1 "V". That's less than half of what I found last year and I searched about the same amount. I don't know why, but nickels seem to be drying up around here.

Furry - still...nice returns on your CRHing. At more than a box a week, that's pretty serious hunting! Better luck to you on the next bag/box!

Silver - snagging silver from pocket change is always welcome. I'm guessing that you might not be CRHing much if you aren't finding silver in your hunts. Folks are usually finding a silver nickel in every 2-3 boxes.

I picked up $100 in nickels from my pickup bank yesterday. The teller asked, "Are you a collector", so I said, "yes". He said, "Then I won't give you the $100 worth a guy just dropped off because I know he is a collector and has already gone through them"...And he spent the next 10 minutes finding me $100 in MWRs. The teller saved me alot of time and frustration, which I very much appreciated and I told him so. I admit I am disappointed to find out someone is using my pickup bank as their dump bank...Now I must pay attention to avoid their dumps

$40 in MWRs last night yielded little:

1955-D (ugh, I want a plain!)

1971 CAN

On a whim I stopped at a branch of my bank and bought $100 in a mix of MWRs and CWRs. The teller thanked me for taking them off her hands because she "had them forever". While waiting to pickup my high schooler (she cannot yet drive), I peaked inside one of the CWRs and knew I was in for a treat!

$20 in CWRs so far yielded:

1962 x 1 (full steps)

I am thrilled with the results, and there are more CWRs for me to look through
