That had to be a collector's dump. There is no way that many of the low mintage nickels would be in a batch like that by chance.

I agree the first $20 in CWRs from yesterday had to be part of a collection. I know I sound greedy, but I am hopeful one of the CWRs I have not yet looked through is full of War Nickels  I'll update this thread with what I find sometime over the holiday weekend. Cheers |

Well, I looked through the remaining $40 in CWRs. They had different papers than the $20 in CWRs I looked through prior that had to be a collection dump. No collection dump in this $40: 1948D 1961 CAD Oh well, better luck next time  Happy thanksgiving all!  |

BK, I am surprised you found a loose nickel in the bottom of the box. Your clear plastic wrappers are interesting...Only paper wrappers in my area. If there were clear plastic wrappers in my area, I'd be looking through dimes! Speaking of which, I found a dime in the last $40 of CWR nickels I checked. I had not been shorted any nickels, so I came out $0.10 ahead  |

Inspired by your effort, I picked up 20 rolls from my bank today.
Sitting on the carpet and half paralyzed, here is my report:

Not sure if it is or not. I will do some research. This crack runs across the Monticello as well.
