Finally reached the 100th box. Below are my totals. I did not count 2009s or foreign coins found during March - July. Only need 5 holes to fill in my album. Still looking for the 50 which I released back in to the wild because I did not know any better at that time. Cant wait for the next 100 boxes!

That's a lot of boxes. I doubt I could do more than 20 in a year. I'm on pace to do around 18 this year. Lots of 2009D nickels so you must be on the left coast or central. Only a few picked here in CT. Nice silver numbers too. That appears the higher side of average. As for your 1950, it took me 14 or so boxes to find one. So given your volume you'll have one soon enough Carlos. Have fun with your hunt for the final 5!

carloscoria, Those are some great numbers (nice spreadsheet), esp the War Nickels, congrats! I am on track to complete 35 boxes this year with only 16 wars, 3 buffs, 1 V, 8 foreign, and 5 proofs to show for my effort. No 1950 for me , BUT I will not give up!

carloscoria, Nice finds and very nice chart! Good luck finding those final 5. One box today; 1951, and 1951S, both hole fillers. 2001S proof, it's had a rough life but has a new home now. 1987 Twenty Cents from Singapore.

Started a 200$ bag from coin counter. Only 1/3 done and have found 2 wars, no date buff w mint mark, and over a roll of pre-60 (almost entirely 40's). So I got a mini-dump in the bag. Hope the pace keeps up.

$76 MWRs yielded: 1945-S x 2 (1 of them has partial steps, which is a treat) 1941 (full steps) Time for me to pickup more nickels...I am addicted

After searching another 10 rolls, finally something good happened.
I found a 1943-P.
Thanks to the spiritual support from doubling Rackster and metal hoarder Berto!

No worries Leon - we're here to get you through the lean boxes. Finding silver is always fun...even worn dateless Buffalos. By the looks of things, good juju is going around with the nice finds above. I was thinking of waiting another week to pick up some nickels but I just might do it this weekend to see if the good juju is heading my way too. Don't forget to show off your interesting finds...say your first piece of silver CRHing, or a '51S, or partial/full step 40s nickels maybe (hint-hint). Seeing the pic's fuels our interests (addictions). Happy hunting folks!!

Speaking of fueling the addiction, I was out of nickels to search as of today, then my phone rang and it was one of my banks calling to let me know my $200 order came in! When I arrived at the bank the coin vault manager was thrilled to see me because she said the order took longer than usual to fill and she was concerned I would have given up. I smiled and said "I never give up" Now that I am home, I may have a 10 minute window to rip open a few rolls before my kids start asking me questions on their homework and I start paying my monthly bills, heh heh...Call a doctor, I think I am addicted

Thanks Jon. I am truly more responsible than I sound. I ALWAYS make family my priority. But I openly admit I look forward to looking through coin rolls, esp nickels, so much that I may be addicted. I have found it is a great way to relax. When I look through coins, my wife tells me I am "spending time in my nothing box". It is fairly mindless and therefore very relaxing for me...There are certainly much worse addictions out there Happy hunting all!

Berto - step #1 is knowing you have a problem. Step #2 is determine what to do about it (do more nickels or more cents). With friends at your pickup bank you are closer to a cure than you think!

Quote: is always fun...even worn dateless Buffalos Was happy to find the one I just did in the last box. Had taken a break due to multiple 2013-P boxes. Also found another border jumper looking for warmer weather. Though I think it missed its target since it got to me when temps are down to 34! Might have been warmer in Canada, but I gave it a nice new home in the pile with the rest of the Canadian refugees. Now jsut waiting for the end of the month to get another box to begin the year with a supply of nickels for lottery tickets.
