Did a bag this morning that yielded a nice 29 buff, mostly full horn, needs some soap and water before I take a picture.

Also found a single War Nickel.

3/4 roll of pre-60 keepers.

I had an interesting box of nickels.

Found: 2 War Nickels (1942-p, 1945-p), 1979-S Filled, 2004-S Peace, (2) 2009-d

Finding the proofs was very interesting. Seems I caught a part of a collection dump. Sadly, no 1939-d found to complete my circulation collection though.

I think I may have found a 1970s proof yesterday. I know they made s mint nickels in 1970, and Ive seen a ton of those. It was the last year that San Fran minted business strike Jefferson nickels. But I think this one might be a proof. They made about 2.6 million of em.

Just to add additional confirmation - that is definitely a proof.

Although they're not worth much when found in circulation, they're "rare" to find and more fun than finding a common Buffalo or War.

I've found about 22 proof nickels so far - the earliest is a 1963.
