Quote: I've found about 22 proof nickels so far - the earliest is a 1963. Very nice! I enjoy seeing proof finds because it is like rescuing something from a place it was not supposed to be.

ff02, I'd be happy with the clipped planchet if I was you! I'm back from vacation and had a few minutes to look through a fraction of the nickels I picked up from the bank today...$20 in CWRs yielded: 1944-S (war) 1979 CAD Pretty good in my book

@berto - I am pretty happy with the clip. Just wished the bag had a few more of something in it. The clip isn't huge but it is definitely there and easily noticeable. :)

$40 in CWRs tonight yielded only 4, 99% nickel CDNs and several BU 80's and 90's US nickels...Not good.

Found a sweet 64 today. It looks like a proof. Has full steps. Is this a proof?

Searched 4 boxes of nickels yesterday. I started to feel a bit frustrated at having found only 1 War Nickel. But I also found 1913 Type 1 Buffalo and a 1939-s, my 4th CRHing. Not a bad day CRHing. Still looking for that elusive 1939-d, which I need to complete the collection. A picture of the buffalo is attached. Conservative grading would make this a F12, I think :-)

$80 in MWRs yielded better than average results for me: 2009P 2005 Bahamas 1943S (war) AU with full steps 1920 Buffalo (Buffaloes are very rare in my area) Overall I'm happy. The only downside is I'm outta nickels and the banks are closed the next 2 days

Nice finds everyone!
berto - I feel your pain. I was so behind on searching a box of cents that I decided to get that done before getting more nickels. I'll order on Monday I suppose.

Rackster, Monday is a bank holiday, so no orders or pickups are possible! Now you know why I am more disappointed than usual :/
