Nice HT. You should be able to find AU and BU specimens from the 50s forward. Before that you'll have some too but with less frequency. Keep us posted when you get down to the harder 10 or so. Good luck on the challenge!

My son found a hole filler for his fourth collection tonight: 1944-D.

We each have four collections of 1938-1961 nickels. This means now that the only open holes in any of our eight collections are the rare five and the 1943-D.

Wow, eight sets and all have the same hole. Impressive. I hope you find at least one 1943-D soon.

We actually have three 1943-D, but that leaves 8 more holes to fill for the 1943-D.

Just finished a great box. 2 War Nickels, 1 beautiful proof (It looks like it was just set free yesterday!!), a great shape buffalo & my first magician coin (two tailed).

I should start up on nickels again. Halves have been slowing down quite a bit.
