Hang in there fellas. Your turn is coming. I flipped that 1939 without expectation. But there it was. A nice D this time.

Wow. All these comments about finishing the Jefferson set gives me hope. I'm still six coins short. I went through 40 machine-wrapped rolls today, and here are the winners (these are well above average finds per box for me!): I had been getting the occasional dateless Buffalo nickel lately, so I'm pleased to get one with a clear date.

This week's box of nickels was a little light: 1 War Nickel (1942P), 1978S Proof, 1 Canadian nickel and 17 pre-1960's.

Congrats, Loco! That is awesome! I started 3 1/2 months ago... and am now down to: 38S, 39D, 42P, 43D, 44S, 45P, 45S, 50, 50D, 51D, 55.
Out of curiosity, do you have a breakdown of your pre-60 finds by date and mint since you started?
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

(2005-D bison) 9 2016-D (first ones from rolls) 1 with such severe road rash you can barely tell it's a Jefferson At two wars, I'd say it was a pretty good box. Also, one of the 1947s appears to have a reverse strike-through, I'll post pictures when I finish box 2.

Apologize for being late to this celebration for Loco ... Tremendous indeed. Sincere congratulations on the achievement which takes dedicated collecting effort. I'm hopeful that someone can compile a listing of the CCF members who have completed the circulation strike Jefferson series by CRH ... there are a few of us indeed. My very limited knowledge includes ... Yinzi50, Rackster, Eaglefoot, myself and now Loco. Please add yourself to the listing if you have truly achieved this outstanding CRH goal. For the statics folks ... I would enjoy comparing Loco find rates after his/her stated 200 boxes with mine ... but I'm not going to do the manual addition of total finds and finds by decade. I'm now at 347,200 nickels searched ... detailed update coming at 350,00 coins. David
