I'm thinking that there are probably more of us. I thought Carlos accomplished the challenge to...maybe working on his third set. And I think Jack has done it too. The list is growing - kind of neat milestone to have in one's footer.

Box 2 totals:
1939
1940 x2
1941-S x2
1947 x3
1947-D
1947-S
1948-D
1948-S (upgrade)
1952
1952-S ( Dryer Coin)
1955-D x2
1956 (upgrade)
1957-D x2
1958-D x4
1959-D x2
1 severe struck-through grease- 201(3? maybe a 2)-D
45 2016-D (I'll choose 40 of the best from both boxes for a roll and toss the rest)

All in all, this was not as good as I expected after the first one. A lot more 2016-Ds, indicating that it was packaged later, and no silver or buffaloes.
One thing I noticed with both boxes is that they had a much higher number of 1947 coins of all mintmarks than I usually get.

Here are my stats. Excel is great for this because I can use functions to keep track of all the figures for me. All I have to do is change the number of a certain date/mm combo and update the total face value, and it updates the totals by date, mintmark and decade as well as the percentage of total coins made up by pre-60 finds and percentage of pre-60 finds with sub-10 million mintages.

EDIT: I just realized the 38 (P) buffalo should have an X through it.

And the possible struck-through from the first box. Opinions are welcome. I can post this in the error forum if you feel that it's necessary. I would usually dismiss this as damage at a glance, but there's no evidence of a hit on the obverse.

Congratulations on all who have completed the set! Some wonderful finds recently, and I enjoy reading this thread and others.

I did end up getting the rolled coins I mentioned a while ago, thanks to my father on a work trip. He told me that the teller reluctantly agreed after some convincing, and had to ask the manager for permission. Then at the airport, they searched the bag because of the x-ray scans. Security asked what would cause it, and my dad said 'rolled coins,' to which the man replied 'we'll see about that!' So that was interesting.

Now I'm finally done searching. All 20 rolls were machine wrapped.

15 Pre-1960 (1.9%): 59D, four 58D, 55D, 53, 52, 46, 41, two 40S, two 40, and 38D.
Hole fillers: A total of 27 including 1938D, 1940, 1940S, 1952, 1953, and a very dirty 2009D

Upgrades: A total of 51 including 1946 and 1959D

Now I have a mere 14 of the pre-60 nickels, so there is still a lot to work on. Here are the highlights:

There is a slight rotation misalignment on the 1938D. I'm aware the photo is "upside-down;" I'm too used to our orientation

Numisma: Nice tables!

Shoepiler: Nice job on the '38-D! Always nice to find those pre-40 mintmarked Jeffs.

Rackster - I think you meant "large S" not date on the 41-S nickels.

I looked through the 10 coins, but no luck.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, that 1938-D is a fantastic find, especially out of just 20 rolls!

Correct John. Large S.

That's too bad Numisma. They are out there, so it's a matter of time.
