That's a fantastic find! I have yet to find a 19th century coin in a roll. Any Liberty Head is a great find, but especially one from before 1900!

Been a long drought since I've found one of those !
War Nickels & Buffs are rare enough, but a Barber trumps everything!
Very nice find....

Wow! Congratulations! Was the 1896 Liberty nickel in a paper in a machine-wrapped roll?

Questions for the forum:

I found a 2005P with a strong and uniform golden hue to it in very nice condition. What causes this and does the nickel have any value?

Hi Jon. I was thinking about you guys the other day. Have you guys completed a circulation set?

Regarding the toning. I've picked golden HSN coinage a few times. So if it's that good then a novelty item worth face. If toned then I'd say a better chance to that discrete bunch who collect them. Not too much though.

I got 2 boxes of nickels on Friday and just started searching them and the first roll had a 1945P war and the 2nd roll had.....1950D

Can't wait to see what else this box might hold!

You go Rumbles! Temptation is high, to purchase your last few, but their's a deep satisfaction in pulling off a circ set.
