Quote: This week's box was awesome: 2 V nickels (1907, 1908), 2 War Nickels, 18 pre-60s, 6 2009s and one foreign (Swiss 20 rappen). This is the first time I have found V nickels out in the wild. Not one, but two V nickels? Wow! Nice finds!

Bookshelf - congrats on the V's! As for me, I've gone through 4240 nickels this week and have found a grand total of 33 pre-60s... the aforementioned 42-D and a 43-P along with this 83-P off center error.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

Hi all, Did 25 rolls of nickels over the past week, and found some great hole fillers: -1939 (hole filler) -1941S (hole filler) -1944S War Nickel (hole filler) -1946 -1946D -1949 -1949D (hole filler) -1953D - (2) 1959 Found a cool 2007 UK 20 pence, and a trick nickel where someone combined a 2002P and 2004P.

Nice finds, everyone! Quote: this 83-P off center error. Are you sure that's not just a MAD? It's only an off-center error if both sides are off center.

Dads/John - nice MADs (I think). Great finds! Dads - check your 1941S mint mark. Large or small? Hope it's Large. And congrats on the Magician's coin - that's a fun find!

Hi Rackster, Here's pics of the 1941s. Looks like a small "s" to me.

Hi dads - correct. It's a small S this time. Better luck next time! Jon - nice on the buffalo. I received 4 dateless in my last box. One made it into the pickled nickel set. A 1934.

Quote: If I am not mistaken, the raised mound indicates it is a Type-1 1913, with an S mint mark! Wow! The coin has been through a lot, it seems, but I'm excited! Correct! That is an amazing find! Well done.
