Thanks, Coinrumbles... I was on a roll before, but what has happened this week is truly amazing! God only knows what else might in that vault. I'm hoping and praying there are more of those LOOMIS nickel rolls! I was actually going to get Half Dollars today (they have at least a box in the vault), but because the one teller had more of those LOOMIS nickels, I decided to just say "what do I have to lose?" and grabbed all of the LOOMIS nickels from that branch I could get my hands on and said "the Halves will just have to wait!"

Box number two was a disappointment. It appeared to be boxed around the same time(2012 based on the dates)and from the same batch as the first so I was hoping it would be similar. However, it only contained 18 pre 1960 Jeffersons, one British 20 pence, and one 2009.

Well, I went back to my bank today and it appears that those two LOOMIS boxes were the only ones that were ordered. All of the rolls that the tellers now have are generic, unmarked machine wrapped ones. I did buy a box of them anyways... will let you know if anything good comes out of it.

I did a box today and found 5 pre-1940 Philadelphia nickels. One of my best boxes to date! There was also a damaged 2009-D (not pictureed below). I haven't found too many 1938 Jeffersons, so I was happy to get two in this box.

My crazy run continues... so far about halfway through 55 rolls, I have already found my oldest coin ever - a very thrashed 1887 V nickel, and filled another Jefferson hole with a 1955 Philly. I am now only missing the 1943-D, and 1950-D nickels from my CRH set!

A hole filler AND a V nickel? Awesome job John! Hope the coin gods keep smiling upon you Got $50 from 2 different banks for $100 total and it went great. Got 29 pre-1960 Jeffersons which is a record. Only one worth keeping was a 1952-S. Got a 1984 Canadian. Last but certainly not least, a D mintmarked buffalo with a nigh-unreadable date. This is my 6th buffalo of 2016!

Wow, John77! That is awesome. It is hard to get better than that in rolls of nickels. I bet if someone had asked you yesterday, "What is easier to find, 1887 or 1950-D?" you would have said 1950-D! Good luck with the last two Jeffersons. I still need 50-D and 38-S. Quote: This is my 6th buffalo of 2016 Very nice, CrazyCat! Is that an 8 I see in the date?

Thank, CrazyCat, jbuck, and aristarchus123! And yes, illegaltender, I feel like I've been a kid in a candy store of late! By the way, that box with the 1887 and 1955 Philly had a total of 26 pre-60s, the other 5 generic MWRs another four of them. My last 3 boxes (yes, I'll count my 44 roll, 170 coin goldmine as a box) have yielded 233 of them! For the week, I found 315 pre-60s which included that 1887 V nickel, a dateless, 1927-S, 1936-D, and 1937 Buffalos, 1938-D, 1938-S, 1939-D, 1942-D, 1949-S (2), 1951-S, and 1955 Jeffersons, along with 1942-P, 1943-P and 1943-S War Nickels. Lots of records broken there! I very much doubt I will top that week - EVER! And aristarchus123, good luck with your last two Jeffersons as well. I'd bet that the 1950-D will end up being the last coin for both of us. I've just been amazed that it has only taken me 6 months to do this... crazy, but I'm not complaining! Well, today begins a new week... Good luck to all!

Quote: Well, today begins a new week... Good luck to all! I got $64 of nickels from the grocery store bank today, and here are the two best, 39s and 43p. Not much else, but strangely there were 5 Canadian coins.

Very nice on the 1939-S, aristarchus123! I've only found 4 of them ever! And silver is always nice! You're off to a nice start this week!
