CoinRumbles Valued Member United States 84 Posts	Posted 12/14/2016 6:41 pm Got home from work and the first thing I did was open the nickel roll, the tally is 11 V nickels and 34 buffalos, which is 5 extra coins in the roll!. Here are the pics of the finds. This is awesome by far the best roll I ever found. The next best was a box of nickels I had a few months ago with 12 buffalos in it. This roll will be hard to beat. The teller said could very well be more in the other rolls I picked up. She just happen to grab this roll and saw them. I will be going through the rest of the rolls later and post anything I find. I actually like finding Buffalos more than silver as I find about 2.2x as many War Nickels as Buffalos. I'd also rather find a nice AU+ 2009-P over a 1943-P or 1943-S. Does anyone know if there is a thread that estimates the number of varieties per date per coin denomination? If not, does anyone know how many coins can die strike before it is retired? I am guessing coin material and coin size may affect the life of the die. Either I couldn't find this information online or the range was too great to make an educated guess. BTW, I found these two War Nickels couple of nights ago. Too bad only 1943 is silver. Oh Well! Report this Post to the Staff
