Great coins, trapper and John77! I did $20 in nickels this afternoon and found my 2nd 1950-P. Several rolls were customer-wrapped and taped shut. Those rolls had only 39 coins each!

Very nice 44P, trapper! And nice on the 1950-P, aristarchus... they're always nice to find. So I hit that Chase Bank again for the 4th consecutive day... I was going to get some cents as well, but when the teller came back from the vault, they were all newbies in String & Son rolls... fortunately, she had bought $60 of nickels (I requested $50 of them and $10 in cents), so I simply asked her for the nickels instead... No jackpots, rare dates or Buffalos today, but I did find the very elusive 1945-D War Nickel (only my 2nd one), a 1944-D, and very nice AU 1951 Philly... My other banks also produced a 1945-P... I think I will be hitting that Chase again tomorrow... After not finding any War Nickels the first 3 days of the month, I have found ELEVEN in the past 5 days! The first week I've broken 10 in my hunting!

I'm not having your luck, John77! Nice 51-P, and silver is always fun. I just did two boxes, and the best were: 63 impaired proof, 49-S, 43-P, and 43-S. I haven't had any buffaloes in the last 7 boxes. I have three boxes of cents here; maybe I'll have better luck there!

Thanks, aristarchus123! And nice finds yourself... Well, it was another Manic Monday for me today... First off, need to let you all know I ran the well dry at that Chase... the nickels I got there last Friday were the last ones they had in the vault. What a 4 day run it was! I went through 121 rolls (4840 coins) of nickels today from 6 different banks... A record tying 5 silvers including the always tough 42-P and 42-S coins, and a 49-S amongst my 38 pre-60s found! Also found 5 2009-Ds.

Wow, John77. More silver! That 49-S has an interesting lamination error / planchet flaw.

The well may be dry, John77, but it looks like you found a puddle or six to quench your thirst.

Yes, aristarchus123 & Numisma... I noticed that too on the 49-S. Going to my local coin dealer on Thursday for my monthly visit to show them...
And yes, Jbuck, that well ran dry, but I've stumbled upon a couple of new ones... the month got off so slowly the first three days, but the last 10 days have been amazing! And I get to pick up Halves for the first time in a long time tomorrow!

95 rolls of nickels today produced 26 pre-60s including a 1930 Buffalo. No silver today, but I did manage a 2009-P.

A buffalo find is just as good as a silver find to me.

Stopped at the bank to make my weekly swap box for a box of nickels and dimes. As I always do, for a favor for her, I buy all her halves and dollars coins. She didn't have halves but had 2 rolls of dollars as she pulled them out of her drawer she said I almost forgot....she pulled out a roll of nickels she had tucked in her drawer between the coin tray and the edge of the drawer, she said I put this there for safe keeping and she said you will want this...curiosity set in and she opened the end of the roll to show me and she said it all buffalo's and some other weird looking coin she never saw before. She thinks it was brought in last saturday cause she needed more nickels for her tray and used what this person just had brought in and she dumped them out and saw it was all buffalos. She put them back in the roll and saved them for me. I bought the roll and thanked her for thinking of me. I opened the roll in front of her and looked at the "weird looking" ones so I could tell her about them and they were V nickels I didn't get a count of how many of each there is but the whole roll is V nickels and buffalos. When I get off work and get through them I will post the results....
