I opened my second box of nickels today. Much to my delight there was a Buffalo staring at me! Not sure what it is yet.

Happy New Year ALL! And congrats to everyone on the amazing finds the past couple of weeks. It's been a VERY busy time for me, but things are FINALLY returning to "normal" now... here are the best of the best of my finds (save two Dateless Buffalos which are pickling) over that time... No key dates, but lots of silver, Buffalos, semi-key dates, AU/BU oldies, a couple of proofs, 2009-Ps, and 1990-Ds missing the designer's initials.

Quote: Me: Oh wow. This could be it! Turn it over and tell me if there is a mintmark.
Wife: Where would it be?
Me: Near the building on the right.
Wife: There is.
Me: No way. Really, what is it?
Wife: A "D".
Me: No way! No way! No way! Let me see!
Wife. Stop yelling. You are being loud.
Me: That's amazing! That's it! Holy cal, aristarchus! Congrats on finding that beautiful 1950-D!

Quote: I have no idea a couple of years ago I was searching a lot of nickles, I found my first 39D in change from a coke machine at work before I retired 8 years ago. I have about 700 war nickles now my goal is 1 box (2000) so I decided to start searching nickles again. Looking for silver, varieties and upgrades for my album. My word, trapper... that's amazing! One of my goals is to find 365 War Nickels this year, and of course find that elusive 1950-D to complete my Jefferson set. I'm also hoping to find a Shield nickel this year. Yes, lofty goals, but given my volume, not unreasonable.

6760 nickels searched yesterday (yes, that's 169 rolls or the equivalent of 3.38 boxes) produced 68 pre-60s including these four. The 1934 Buffalo is a hole filler.

J77, I picked up $192 in CWRs to search this weekend given the forecast is subzero where I live. I hope I find some keepers like you tend to find!

In my last MWR searched tonight. I saw the year, flipped it over and saw the mintmark. My 2nd in the last couple of weeks, and in nice condition.
