Picked up 10 rolls for first time in at least a year... 1st roll 1927 Buffalo.. 10th and final roll 1943 p War Nickel!! Couldn't believe it. I've always had decent luck with finding buffalos, but must have searched 10-12 boxes and have only found 1 war nick a couple of years ago.... might need to scratch the CRH hunt itch again later this week.

While finding a Buffalo and a War Nickel make for a good day, I do hope you have more success in you next box.

J77, great job! $80 in CWRs yielded: '41D (full steps) 2, 43S (war) 60D (partial steps) Lowball 2, 2009D's 4, overstuffed rolls = 4 extra nickels Pretty good results

Thanks, berto! And nice finds for you too! Love the silver and the old AU+ stuff. Funny with the 1955 Philly... it came up obverse first and it looked different than the other 1955 coins I had seen... I almost knew it was that elusive Philly before I even turned it over... the other one I found CRH came up reverse side up and I thought it was just going to be another 1964 coin when I flipped it over. In general, the 1955 Philly coins are much more "mushy" in appearance on both sides of the coin than their Denver counterparts... the 1970 Canadian nickel came out of a CWR and I thought to myself "that's the one I'm missing, isn't it?" The scan doesn't do it justice - probably would grade out at MS-62 or so. I just put it in a 2x2 as my Canadian Nickels album only goes up to 1962. I seriously don't want this month to end... it's been AMAZING!

Nice finds folks. I completed a box (first in a long while) but haven't tallied the finds yet.
John - difficult finding 1955's but even harder finding one that isn't mushy. I've found a few but maybe only 1 appears like the Denver counterparts. It has me wondering.

Great find on the double clip, John77! Nice finds for $80, berto. You're making money, in addition to getting great coins!

Thanks, rackster and aristarchus. I've been REALLY hitting the nickels hard. Averaging around 10 boxes worth a week so far this year. They only made a little over 8 million of those 1955 Philly coins. I do wonder how many dies they used. I've got a handful that aren't so "mushy" looking, but those were all bought at coin shops. It's tied with the 1943-D for my 3rd hardest coin to find (only the 1939-D & 1950-D have been harder). Yes, the making money part is good!

A roll short of a box yesterday only produced 14 pre-60s, but one was a War Nickel... and I also found a 2009-P.

WOW, Loco! It's truly amazing to see someone find a mint state Buffalo in circulation. I've found mint state 1938 and 1939 Jeffersons in my CRH adventures, but those are nothing compared to your find! Congrats!

Great-looking coin, Loco! Awesome V-Nickel find, John77! I have yet to find one this year, and last year I only found two. It has been over six months, so I'm due! My box tonight only yielded a dateless buffalo and a pineapple:
